Editors' Note

TROSS is a summer school in constraint based grammar which first took
place in summer 2001 in connection with the HPSG 2001 conference.

Aiming at bi-annual meetings, this summer school brings together
theoretically and descriptively oriented scholars to work
on precicely delimited problem areas.

In this year's summerschool linguists from different fields joined
for a week of seminars to discuss multi verb constructions.

The seminars were dedicated to Lexical Functional Grammar and Head-
Driven Phrase Structure Grammar, and fostered a discussion
of complex-predicate and serial verb constructions
within these two constraint based grammars.

TROSS03 is a collection of invited and refereed papers given during
a two days workshop at the end of this years summerschool.

TROSS 03 was accompanied by beautiful weather and
culminated with a memorable grill evening at the fjord.

The organizers would like to take this occation and thank all participants for contributing to the success of TROSS 03. We hope to see all of you again in the near future.
